Sleeping On The Job
A record of all the various bedrooms I’ve slept in while on assignment. With the camera on a tripod, I trip the shutter with a cable release and make my way to the bed in the dark, eventually turning off the camera when I awake, invariably before dawn. Exposures are anywhere between 4 and 7 hours. Occasionally there are guest appearances when I share a bedroom with writers or assistants. On those nights where I evidentially slept like a log without tossing and turning much, it’s possible to recognize my face, or a foot or hand peeking out from under the covers.
