Namibia - Travel & Leisure
I traveled to Namibia with long-time collaborator and friend, Aatish Taseer. Prior to leaving I told him in passing that, “Namibia was not about the animals. It’s about the landscapes.” By the end of the journey we felt that it was neither about animals or landscapes, but an intimation of deep primordial time.
“Since my arrival in Namibia, I had been living with the loss of a sense of clock time. All the while, something older and more vital, a motionless ocean of deep time, had been pushing its way through. The superficial knowledge of being in the oldest desert in the world, acquired a new primeval power, almost as if one could feel the presence of a reservoir of stillness below.” - Aatish Taseer
